The First Double Century Bicycle Ride NH_361

Bicycle_Ride_NH_361

~On the 31st October, Day-Night bicycle ride, 204 km journey of Wardha_Nagpur_Wardha. The burning desires to chase the goal, however, checking the strength of myself. The journey was awesome, consisting of ups and downs, in a bad environmental condition.

The journey began from home, early morning at 6 am, however, the bicycle was not up to the mark for 200 km ride. Even no idea how to manage the first-ever 200 km ride. So, I called Kishor sir, he is an experienced rider. I asked him, "please let me know what kind of basic precautions should I take ?". He replied beautifully to all the things, even he offered me his bicycle to chase the 200 km ride.

Having a 10-gears bicycle really boosts my confidence, however, it helps me to speed up the ride up to 40 km per hour. I started my mp3 playing list and the journey began. I knew that playing my favourite song would definitely help me, it kept me away from negativity and overthinking.

The first drink break was in Selu village. The atmosphere of the village was awesome, filled with pure oxygenated air and the smell of cow dung; some ladies were preparing cow dung 'Gavari'. Subsequently, the second drink break was in Butibori. The temperature was high, due to the industrial area. The atmosphere was very filthy and air pollution was too high. The third drink break was in the IT park, Manav Seva Nagar, Nagpur. I called Ankit, he was my Engineering batchmate.

I had lunch at his resident and after a small meeting, I went to Naglok, It's a Buddhist centre. Due to Pandemic, the Naglok was closed but still, I clicked some pics from the main gate and came back to Ankit’s hotel. I ate snacks and started riding towards Wardha at 5pm.

Meanwhile, on the journey, I got a call from Shilpa Bodile, she is a dear friend of mine, based in Nagpur. I talked with her for around 20 minutes while riding the bicycle. She was conscious that if in case I met with an accident, she might be getting in trouble by call history. So, keeping this in mind, after a while, I cut the call. At the very moment, I saw a picture, on the side of the road, which indicated that "your heartbeats are more important than a mobile ring". I clicked a photo and sent it to Shilpa. During this photo session, my bicycle got punctured near the flyover at Butibori.

Unfortunately, I did not get any garage and I walked 5 km (30 minutes) to get to the shop. I met one shop but the owner was missing and then I walked 1 km, near the Butibori square. Finally, I got a garage, where I repaired my bicycle. I was delighted and suddenly I smelled samosa's Khushboo, I went there and ate 1 plate of samosa and notably my brain was working fast. So far I have covered only 130 km distance.  Then at 8 pm, I returned from Butibori square. I met one truck driver, he requested me to join with him by his truck at Selu village, but I declined that because I don’t want to cheat myself.

At 10.30 pm, I reached Pavnar. So far, I have completed 170 km ride, I supposed to cover 200 km. I made one plan, I went to Sawangi bypass and now I completed 180 km distance, still, 20 km remained. I saw one omelette shop at 11.20pm. I was very pleased at that time. I ate an omelette with green chatani, it was a superb feeling, cold air was going on and I was eating a hot omelette while listening to Bob Marley's song and it was a miraculous feeling.

Again I went to Pavnar and came back to Sawangi Bypass and I accomplished the 204 km ride till 11.59 pm and at the same time, all over I covered 1241 km bicycle ride in October month.

This was my first ever 200 km ride, It will be a special memory for me. However, the journey had many ups and downs, which taught me a lot, to stay consistent with your dream and never lose hope.

Special thanks to Kishor wankhede sir, Ankit Jaiswal.

First_Night_Ride NH 46 km

Night Ride NH-46

From a long time, I was planning to go for ride by bicycle at night. Meanwhile, my engineering classmate, Vrushabh, was asking to visit his farm. However, my regular schedule does not allow me to take break from it to go for long ride. After all, I took a break from my regular schedule and went on 46 km long night ride, it was too unique for me.

At the eve, I started the ride with the basic device, such as power bank, which helps me for charging smart-phone. Whereas, I used smart-phone as a torch, navigator and speedometer.

So, the first break was at the Sawangi bypass way. I stopped there to buy snacks. The way from Sawangi to Selsura village road is an average two-lane road and also the traffic was more on that day and it leads to the highest chances of accidents in the night.

Meantime the ride, I saw many people were riding bikes and auto but their speed was high and the temperature was also falling. As per the time going, the rush on the street was declining.

Meanwhile, the journey I felt, I made a mistake. It was my first night ride. I thought I don’t need to ride at the dark night, but it was my instinct to chased the desire of night ride.

I stopped near the Deoli villages bypass, I was confused. I thought, which road I should choose and I called Vrushabh but at that time he was busy in his home chores.

As per our last discussion with Vrushbh, the thing strikes in my mind that I must have to follow straight road. After that I will reach to Bhidi village then there will one Toll-Naka and I won't have to cross the bypassed, instead I should choose to go on the right side.

After 30 minutes ride, I reached the Bypass and I got a call from Vrushabh. He reminded me of the direction on call and I followed that. Interestingly, the next 7-8 km journey was really frightening. The issue was, the road was very poor and the road lights were off and small gravels were scattered over the road hence chances of bicycle puncture was high.

Either side of the road is covered by long green trees, which was giving the feeling of the jungle. It was so horrible but I was cool and relaxed. Then I played the music on the cellphone, connected earphone and I was listening to Bob Marley song (get-up stand up). That time I thought, it is ephemeral feeling, so just relaxed and enjoyed the music and cool wind.

After this terrible scene, I arrived at Vijaygopal village, in 20 minutes.

I called Vrushabh, we met at the square and we went to his home. As per Marathi tradition, He gave me a mug of water to clean foot, hand.

I met his parents, they were very charming and exciting thing was, I thought they will scold such as "why you came at night, you must have to come at morning" because they were aware of the poor condition of roads. Instead of that they welcome me with a warm smile and appreciated me, on our group photo, it was sticking on the wall from last 3 years.

Then Auntie offered me water and tea, we had tea. Meanwhile, the moment uncle was telling his story. How he used to ride a bicycle daily, when he was working in Nagpur, in the industry as a supervisor. He shared his life moment about his bicycle rides. However, he admires me about bicycle ride initiative, while Vrushabh was thinking to buy a racing bicycle.

I was amazed by his hospitality and management at his home. We had planned to go to the farm at night but due to some technical as well as health issues, head command(parents) cancelled the plan.

Subsequently, we had dinner and we went out for a short walk. We met Vrushi, he was also our engineering classmate. We talked about his business and study.

Next day, I woke up early in the morning at 4 am but decided to go at 6 am because of the chilling cold.

At 6.20 am we arrived at the farm, we clicked multiple pictures and Vrushabh introduced me about the various vegetables.

The good thing is that we removed our sandals and entered the farm. The feeling was awesome, the touch of soil was incredible. We moved around the farm and enjoyed the quality time.

At 8 am we did breakfast (kande pohe) and at 8.30 am I left for Wardha. Meantime, the return journey I was very thirsty, as the temperature was very high I.e  41* c and I had only one bottled water.

After 20 km ride, I got one hotel. I bought a 1-litre bottle and relaxed there for a while. After 26 km ride, I reached Bajaj Square, Wardha.

At 10.45 am I reached Wardha. I directly came home. I was acting in a way that I came from the lab, so mom should not get any clue. I had a shower and came to work at 11.30 am. I brought Parle biscuit for Nayan from VIjaygopal village and he enjoyed after getting the packet.

In conclusion, the first night ride of 46 km would always be special. The thrill of the jungle and hospitality of friend’s home was awesome.

Bordharan Ride

It was an unexpected ride. I had been following my everyday schedule, yet this time I was distant from my friends. Because of late, my colleagues planned to ride. I figured I should cover 20 km alone.

Afterwards, I did that. After completing the task, I did breakfast in the Selu. Where I met Hritik latare, he helped me for paying cash, I had no money so, he managed that and I payback him by PhonePay.

In the selu square, I saw one board, which demonstrates the Bordharan is 16 km far. Along this moment, the excursion starts at that point. Hritik said to me the street isn't good, last week he had gone so. yet I figured I ought to go. After all, considered, today is Sun_Funday 😊

Meantime, the Journey I saw a few farmers (gentlemen and women) are moving towards their Farm with their instruments.

The smell of the atmosphere was fantastic it just felt like pure oxygen's air streaming.

The street development work was going on, so that little stones, sand and soil were arranged either roadside. It is around 3-km distance street, which is under development.

After a 16-km ride, I arrived at the Bordharan. First, I went to Hsun Tsang retreat centre in Bordharan. I did meditation around 20 minutes and later I went to Bordharan dam to explore the wonderful nature.

The front view from the draw was very unbelievable, however, it was ephemeral feeling. It seems like I seeing Amazon rainforest view 😊

The fog/Humidity was a lot noticeable all around, I felt like a cloud of little water droplets suspended in the air. I love such a view and air. ☁️ πŸ’ ☁️

The photograph is revealing the maps and ride's distance.

Subsequently, at 1 pm, I moved towards the canteen for the lunch. I picked the lunch stuff and went to the hill with Haya Busa, which is 30 meters above from the ground level.

After reached the hill, I remembered the dialogue from Commando film, Jungle ka Ek hi rule hai, Maaro ya Maro (slaughter or to live) however, my greatest enemy was mosquitos, somehow I could finish lunch.

The lunch was extremely spicy, however, Happy-Happy biscuits adjusted the taste 😁

Meanwhile, the lunch I did the conversation, individually with Uncle, Aakanksha, Rahul, Rakesh, Pratiksha & Pavan on the WhatsApp video call. Still, in the presence of mosquitos, somehow I spent 20 minutes on the hill.

After a while, I returned on the ground floor, I saw a few people are picking fish. I asked, some information about fish species and the selling time. He answered me details concerning fish species and said it begins from early morning at 8 am.

Kindly see the given photograph, nets are arranged for fish.

In addition, I went to the green zone and spent some time and clicked photographs. I relaxed there for a while. It was a truly astonishing time. I wish I could make a little Hutt in such space.

I returned to the retreat centre and drink water and fill the bottle. In that time, the mobile battery was 3% so I managed the charger with the assistance of Avinash Nirala, who is a member of the Buddhist community in the centre.

After an hour, I came back to Wardha. Meanwhile, the journey, I saw two-person performing cleanliness task of Soyabean near the street.

The machine was unique and it was making a loud noise, similar to a turbine motor. Soyabean called as brilliant beans have a place with the vegetable family. It is local of east-Asia. It is a reach source of protein also an excellent source of fibre.

I arrived in Wardha and suddenly I got a call from courier service. I picked the courier from the Hangout CafΓ©, Arvi Naka. It was 4.10 pm and I should join a community meeting at 4.30 pm, so I increased ride speed and reached home before 2 minutes.

Truly, It was a vital day for me, I'm feeling very charmed after this little excursion. I wish I should have such a little outing consistently. The photograph was taken in the wake of finishing the 32 km ride and the background see is Bordharan_Dam.

In conclusion, it was an unforgettable experience in the realm of Nature. Such experience helps us to rejuvenate our mind and heal us unknowingly.

Wardha_Dikshabhumi_Bicycle_Ride

The ride

Right from childhood I was passionate about riding bicycle. But I  couldn't continue my passion because education and work. This year I started attempting long rides on my bicycle when I met my friend Ankit Jaiswal, my Engg. days, Ankit introduced me to Cycleons-riders group, which  is a community of regular riders. I started my riding journey again on 1st october 2020.

On the very first day, I rode 26 km with Mr Sanjay sir, Mr Pritam, Dr.Piyush, who are members of the riders group and some of them are practising medical doctors. The journey started from Shivaji square, Wardha to Pawnar began at 6 am. The feeling was of joy and satisfaction, as this ride took  me back to my 5th grade, when I rode a cycle for the first time, which I named Hayabusa 😊

First_Long_Ride

The next week, on Sunday, I went to Kelzar with the same team. Kelzar is 32 km away from Wardha. so a total of 64 km bike route we had covered that day. This second ride was not at all exhausting instead I felt extremely delighted. I came back and did home chores. I was feeling normal as usual and didn’t feel any kind of stress after the ride. This was a day I gained confidence, that I can now attempt 80 km ride also.

14th October, We celebrate this day as Dhamma Chakra Pravartan din, Babasaheb Ambedkar has embraced Buddhism with 5 lacs his followers mainly schedule caste peoples Ashok Vijaya Dashmi on 14 October 1956.

I always had a wish to visit Dikshabhumi, Nagpur, on my bicycle, for this occasion. My friend found this idea, laughable and he would say it would be very tough for me to ride this long distance. Adding to his doubts even the weather seemed not to be favouring a bicycle ride as it rained for the last two days for the ride due to rain.

On 13th October early morning, I woke up determined to ride down to Dikshabhumi be it any circumstance on my Hayabusa. Ankit is a friend in Nagpur, I called him and informed that I will be coming to Nagpur. He arranged a conference call with Kishor Wankhede Sir, who is willing to come to Nagpur. He is retired mathematics professor of J. B. Science college of Wardha. He has completed 200, 300, 400, 650(Pachmadi), 750(Alibagh), 800(Karad) km rides. However, Ankit not only a mechanical engineer but also a rider, entrepreneur. he has completed 1400 (Wardha_Igatpuri), 650, 400, 300 km rides.

Ankit_Succes_Story

He was laboured with the Pani foundation for three years, on his Mumbai ride journey and Pani foundation work, the small film was released in 2018.

We three discussed in the conference call and agree to go on 15 October to Nagpur by bicycle.

The day of celebration and launching digital Nalanda. On the 14th of October, In Nalanda Academy, we launched our online digital websites, we did a digital meet and celebrate the day, at the end of the day we arranged a small dinner in our Nalanda Academy.

Celebration_Time, Nalanda_Family

In Eve, I prepared a bag for the Wardha_Nagpur_Dikshabhumi ride. Next day, At 5.30 am, I called Kishor sir. We examined weather and conclude, will leave for the ride at 6.30 Am, if the weather is good. Finally, I get a green signal from sir, We came together at Yamuna lawn and the journey begins.

Journey_Begin

The first 10 km was good, we were enjoying the ride. The early morning cold air touching our skin, it was an awesome feeling with 18 km/h speed. The scenery of nature was phenomenal, both sides of the road covered by green trees, I adore such roads.

Woods

After a 30 km ride we take our first stop near Kelzar, sir has carried some boil eggs, we did breakfast and start again, after 3km, we sense the smell of shenkhat(dunk) and saw the culture of the village, farmers and a group of ladies moving toward their farm with their instrument.  Some bull also walking on the road. Small children looking towards us with gazing eyes. That time, I wave the hand and they wave back. They were smiling at us, we smile back.

We enter in the Nagpur region, I got to know when I read, "hotel and bar are 400 meters away" we were smiling and discussed, we are in Nagpur region because the bar will be 400 meters away and in Wardha circle, the bar is not allowed. We stop for Susu at the parkway, meanwhile, I made a Whatsapp status, I enter in the Nagpur region.

Subsequently, we completed 65 km distance, I was telling to sir, I have crossed my highest ride score even my bicycle run first time more than 65 km. Maybe that’s why my bicycle Haya Busa engine getting hot and slipped the chain 3, 4 times😁 After 5 minutes the back tyre was jammed and sir was moving ahead. I called him and we discover some shops but near 1km. we did not get any cycle repairing shops, then I decided to solve the issue myself but for that, I need one instrument, we arranged it from one hardware shop. I tried my best and solve the issue in 5 minutes.

After a small delay, we start again our journey but the climate got changed and rain starts, still we riding continuously. We reached Hingana after 4.30 hours ride that time the sound pollution was too loud because of traffic, travelling big container by both end and air pressure was also too much, on the other hand, pollution level was more as compare to Wardha city.

Journey_Start_Again

We arrived Nagpur after 5 hours, as per Kishor sir experience. We finished ride late because air pressure was too much. We went to the Encyclopedia cycle service centre. Sir has dropped his bicycle in the service centre and Ankit came there and we went to his house. We got fresh there and did lunch. After 3 pm, we went to Ankit Corn King Hotel, we ate Crispy Corn-Bhel and Chicken Momos.

Subsequently, we went to Dikshabhumi at 6 pm and the feeling was like 😍  the top of the world. I clicked the number of selfie and Kishor sir took photos. I couldn't believe that we came here by bicycle but we did that.

Dikshabhumi

With_Rider _Kishor sir

After a while, From Dikshabhumi, I arranged a video call to our Reshmi_Nate family group, mom and dad, I spent 30 minutes in the video call.

At the end of the evening, I call ratan bhau and went to his quarters, he has arranged a special dinner for me.

Next morning, we went for a morning walk, that time Dikshabhumi startling in the rays of early morning sunshine.

Early_Morning_Clicked

After that we had breakfast, then Darshana Tai called me and said. Don't go today, we will arrange lunch. But I said, already committed with Kishor sir, you have two hours to arrange it. Then Ratan bhau insisted me to stay there but it's not possible, so I said please arranged chicken, I will make curry. In 1 hour I made a delicious dish till 9.10 am, we had a meal and I leave Nagpur at 10.15 am as per schedule.

Kishor sir met in Somalwada square at 10.30am and then together we came to Wardha.

Back_To_Home

The come back journey, we caught in the rain at Seldoh Tahsil. We took a drink break and relaxed there for 30 minutes, coincidentally it was my friend hotel. When we paid a bill that time it realizes because the hotel is too big. We discuss college days and job. At last, I bring two bottles of cold water free of cost.

We reached Pawnar and again rain started, we intend to swimming but due to rain, it was not possible. Eventually, we reached Wardha and arrived at Kishor sir house. We had a tea and discuss the journey and plan for next big steps, ensuing time Amravati(200), Pachmadi(650), Goa(2042), Mumbai(1510), Kanyakumari(3400) km both ways.

In conclusion, it's an unforgettable experience in the realm of Nature. It's my first long journey on behalf of Dhamma Pravartan Din. Such experience helps us to rejuvenate us, explore a different culture and people. My colleagues, "Abhi" sir said, do two things in life, read more books and travel world and explore it.

''Vijay'' sir, said work as labour but enjoy like a king, I following both person.
